The second you produce anything, you leave a mark. Our non-stop race for bigger, better and faster has led to catastrophic heating, fueled by CO2 emissions. The earth cannot keep up with consumption, waste, pollution, conflict, de-forestation, de-glaciation, over-fishing, social injustices and plain human stupidity.


THE LONGER THE COOLER

 

Sure, it’s a whole lot about minimizing waste, chemicals, micro plastics and CO2. These are all super important sustainability initiatives, but longevity is arguably the one that counts the most. We reach that by using quality materials and constructions, nailing a timeless look, and educating customers how to care for our products.

At the end of the day, if a consumer resists getting a new garment because the old one still performs we have saved the world from yet another new item being produced - we call that a success.

Net zero emissions.

2007

Joined the amfori BSCI to improve social performance in our supply chain.

2012

Chemical compliance process established and successfully introduced our RSL to our supply chain in 2013.

2013

Joined the Sustainable Apparel Coalition and introduced the Higg Index.

2013

Joined the Bangladesh Accord to make all garment factories in Bangladesh safe workplaces.

2015

First brand to use Drydye® Technology for woven ski wear and won the ISPO GOLD award for innovation.

2016

Part of the ECAP and first sustainability material strategy in place. Started substituting PFAS in DWR treatments and began using the Responsible Down Standard.

2018

Published our first sustainability report.

2018

Founding member of the Swedish Textile Initiative for Climate action and signing the UN fashion Charter for Climate Action.

2020

Became a participating company of the Fair Labor Association (FLA).

2021

Added responsibility as our forth company value. Signed International Accord. Launched WearAgains in stores.

2022

Pledged for voluntary financial contribution to the pilot of Employment Injury Scheme (EIS) in Bangladesh. Became BRM Verified.

2023

Set our new circular strategy as part of our updated long-term environmental, social and governance (ESG) strategy.

2030

50% reduction in scope 1 and 2, 25% in reduction scope 3. Full transparency throughout our supply chain on the materials we use and partner suppliers we collaborate with to manufacture our products.

2030

100% of new products designed according to Amer Sports Circular policy by 2030.

ADDING FEEL-GOOD
TO OUR PRODUCTS

A fan favorite for over a decade, our Frost line of lightweight yet exceptionally warm down jackets hasn’t changed one bit on the outside. But everything under the hood has been updated for the better. We are no longer using fluorocarbons, the shell is now made of recycled polyamide, and all down is RDS certified. In other words, we’ve added a lot of feel-good to this good looking jacket.

That’s great. But we’ve seen your current one, and it looks fantastic too. People will envy your worn classic as much as that shiny new one. Now, this may sound like bad
