After a sensational season with three podium finishes, Hedvig Wessel crowned 2024 with a victory at the Verbier Finals making her the Freeride World Champion.

On a bluebird day at Bec des Rosses, the final five women riders showcased exhilarating skiing, but with speed and intensity and the biggest stomp of the day, Hedvig earned a score of 93.33 and the win at the FWT by Peak Performance. Moments before, phenom Manon Loschi dropped in for the last time of the season with the title on the line. After a breathtaking run and a monumental double-backflip attempt, Manon finished 4th and just outside the podium in her first ever season.

On the men’s side, reigning World Champion Valentin Rainer and two-time World Champion Kristofer Turdell were out of championship contention, but both showed up in Verbier and gave it their all. Kristofer and Valentin finished the season with an impressive 5th and 9th place overall, respectively.
