2008-03-14

The world elite in snowboard and freeskiing will be back at the Olympic arena Stockholm Stadion in the heart of the Swedish capital for the second edition of Winter Jam on November 17. At this action packed event the riders will take huge air in the gigantic jump accompanied by world class music bands and impressive FMX and Ski-Doo Freestyle sessions. The prize money is no less than 40 000 USD and the entry is for free.

Peak Performance King of Style is a big air freeskiing competition. The local mega stars Jon Olsson and Jakob Wester, and last years American winner Sammy Carlson have already confirmed their attendance together with the rest of the world freeski elite. Also Adam Falk member of the Peak Performance Ski Team will attend the competition.

The snowboard contest is one of the Nokia Snowboard FIS World Cup Big Air contests around the world 2007/2008. 75 of the world top riders like Chris Sörman, Stephan Maurer (winner fresstyle.ch 2007), Risto Matila, Anti Auti, Jonas Carlsson och Iouri Podladtchikov will battle for the finals on this historic Olympic arena from 1912.

New for this year: Freestyle Motocross (RedBull FMX) and Ski-Doo Freestyle (RedBull SFX) show. Daniel Bodin, recordholder of the world’s longest back flip on ski-doo last year in Alaska (40 m long!) will not turn you down…  Winter Jam will also host two music artists on stage. And in addition to that a consumer tradeshow with all the new stuff within snowboarding and skiing.
