Nigel Cabourn x Peak Performance

When Peak Performance decided to do its first collaboration in the history only a legend would do.

Building a name for himself in re-imagining utilitarian workwear, it made sense that UK designer Nigel Cabourn was our first choice. We spent months rifling through Nigel’s extensive personal archive of global army apparel to find the perfect pieces to re-invent.

With extensive experience with modern fabrics and technical details, Peak Performance designer Sofia Gromark Norinder worked with Nigel to bring to life the vintage pieces for optimal wear in the modern landscape. What resulted was a collection that brings together the best of both labels: heritage army apparel expertise and Scandinavian innovation.

“It’s about remembering the past in order to re-imagine the future. It’s the powerful contrast between the crafted and the technical” says Sofia Gromark Norinder, Peak Performance.

Swedish Sheepskin Jacket

The Swedish Sheepskin Jacket comes from a personal favourite from Nigel’s closet. In perfect Peak Performance style, we’ve updated and tweaked the model to allow for a modern style. We’ve simplified the design, added a heavy zip in place of the more commonly used buttons and opted for a versatile black colourway. Shop Swedish Sheepskin Jacket.

Swedish Mountain Parka

The Swedish Mountain Parka presents a three-layer waterproof shell and detachable hood. Taking notes in the details of the iconic Swedish Army jacket, this piece sees four pockets on front with button closure. Built-in to the construction sits a rucksack on the back, supported by adjustable straps to allow for extra support as well as an easy way to de-layer by letting the jacket hang off the back.
