Yesterday evening Michael walked until Oberalppass with Pal.
Approximately 100m before the safe pass summit the incredible
happened. One might have noticed that there was some thunderstorm on
the way but then everything happened so fast that Pal and Michael were
in a real predicament. Within minutes it was raining cats and dogs and
lightning came down in the mountains just next to the two of them.
Happily Flo and Pal´s supporter came to help very quickly and took the
two into refuge in their faraday cages....safe but very wet!
Now Michael has just arrived at Furka and here he will start again
after a short refreshment. He´s planning to fly through Wallis today
and it would be a nice present to see Matterhorn this evening after
this strenouos night.
